Very aware of Kyle’s achievement. We were there. Like I said, Jack is the legend, but truth be told it was a man against boys in the modified race. Nobody in the field had nearly the experience or have been around there as fast as Hewitt had gone there. If Tyler could win this, which I think is a realistic possibility, it would be bigger than Jack’s stellar run. The modifieds weren’t nearly the level of competition that the Allstars will be for Courtney. By the way if I’m not mistaken, Sunshine has one the last two 4Crown sprint races, and the same with the midgets. Also won the June Silver Crown race in the same car he’s running this weekend. I would say the toughest one for him to win could be the Wings
I was there on 09/24/2011 when Kyle Larson in his first trip to Eldora won all 3 USAC features at the 4-Crown event. It was amazing. Only 1 other person ever did that. No one will probably ever do it as a rookie again.
Well after watching the WoO highlights. Id says its entirely possible. They were driving that track like a four lane highway. straight as possible and keep from sliding the rears. Nobody better at that in the USAC ranks than Sunshine.
I know it's not boring, but it's more the type of racing you'd expect to see on talledega than a dirt track

Yep, straight is fast and those WoO guys are as good as any keeping it straight. To your point, that driving style helps him on the big tracks with USAC. No scrubbing speed when momentum is critical.
Sunshine was the highest finishing All Star last night in 5th, he's leading the All Star points by a wide margin-winning the All Star race tonight VERY likely!!!
