Finish. Stanbro. Short. Bland. Gaines. East. Cramer. Ballou holtsclaw.*
Wow. Stanbro led most of the way but Short reeled him in and almost got him. Great race.

The hits just keep on coming, at Bloomington Speedway this year!! It's hard to top having the checker wave on a feature and having exactly nobody knowing who had just won. Brady Short popped out of his car and jumped up on the cage, thinking he had nipped Jon Stanbrough at the line. That was greeted with an extended pause from the PA system, leaving everybody hanging on the silence, waiting for the next sound. When the official result was announced, it was not Brady. It was the winningest non-wing sprint car driver in the country, adding one more to his tally. And Brady was still pumped about this race in the interview afterwards, even though he had came up short (no pun intended). It was just that great of a finish! And it was a great race up until that point, too. Short and Bland ran their way up through the field from mid pack and East, Holtsclaw, Cramer and Ballou just went at it tooth and nail for almost the whole race.
Earlier today, I had stated that two out of the best tree sprint car races I have seen this year have been at Bloomington. That has to now be amended to three out of the four best.
A man is about as big as the things that make him angry.
