2016 Indiana Sprint Week had 3 first time USAC winners if I remember correctly:

Kokomo - Kyle Cummins
Bloomington - Brent Beauchamp
Haubstadt - Carson Short

My pick would be Isaac Chapple as well. I thought he’d already have one by now

It looks like the USAC regulars are winning the shows they run without qualifying, too. They just swept Midget Week shows, Ballou won Paragon, Stockon won Haubstadt, KTJ has won everything. Grant drops in at Lawrenceburg, wins.
I think the most realistic would be A.J. Hopkins. He’s good at Putnamville, which is probably the weakest track for a lot of USAC regulars.
USAC regulars didn't sweep Midget Week. Larson won at Montpelier

The picks of Schnapf at Haubstadt and Hopkins at Lincoln Park were good ones, because AJ has won many races at Putnamville and Stephen just seems to get better, every time that you go down to TSS. And got his first win there, this year. But the one I want up for consideration is Joe Stornetta, Jr. Quite a few times that I've seen this driver this season, I was left with the impression that this is a guy that's on the doorstep of grabbing himself a really big win. And once that happens, you might as well get used to it.

The key to any of the drivers breaking through though is that ability to knock down a great qualifying lap. Qualifying is so crucial in a USAC event. Because you just can't spot KT Jr., Tyler Courtney, Chris Windom, etc. 4-5-6 rows in the starting grid and expect to beat them.

I was referring to the sprint car portions, but you are correct. Who will be the next non-USAC regular to win a USAC race this year, joining Kyle Larson?

Might have to agree with Jerry on Joe Stornetta Jr. If the Pace car can work out their mechanical woes.
