PURSLEY PASSES 145 TO LEAD USAC PROSOURCE PASSING POINTS INTO AUGUST

Speedway, Indiana (August 4, 2023)………In terms of passing cars, no one has done that better throughout the 2023 USAC National season thus far than Daison Pursley.

The Locust Grove, Okla. native has passed a combined total of 145 cars between his efforts with the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship.* That has Pursley atop the ProSource Passing Master standings.

Wildly enough, Pursley’s 145 spots advanced are a full 61 more positions advanced than his closest competition, Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) at 84.

Astonishingly, Pursley achieved this feat in a mere 38 races.* By comparison, 2022 Passing Master champion Justin Grant (Ione, Calif.) had accumulated just 79 passes in his first 38 events of that season.

ProSource, of Grand Saline, Texas, has posted a $2,500 year-end reward to the USAC nationally licensed driver who passes the most total cars during feature events throughout USAC’s 2023 National season.

The bonus payday awaits the driver who advances the most positions combined between USAC’s Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink National Midget divisions.

The 2023 season marks the fourth year of ProSource’s Passing Master championship.* Chris Windom captured the inaugural edition in 2020.* Justin Grant has claimed the honor in each of the past two seasons in 2021 and 2022.

This is only the fourth year of the award. It was Windom in 2020 and Grant in 2021-22. All had full time rides in all three series during that season.
