That's some good stuff right there. Thanks for posting.

Wouldn't be a bad idea to adopt the format they used back then for today. Would make for some good racing, that's for sure.

bob, it wasnt bobby who died in the crash on I65 it was his brother dale(i believe was his name) bobby was a foreman at arvins and died of cancer a few years back

40 years have past and we are still chasing that Fox 53 ....... :doh:

76 Mike Johnson = Dave Hurst

Dad didn`t remember the race but he could name all but about 4 or 5 of the car owners who were there.

There is one other car owner who is still active in the bunch . Can anyone guess ? ( Hint : the car number is 6 )

Ok, he was the painter, did the pits at Indy, as well as pin striping and signs. You is right! Bob

That was excellent, sir! If you have any more PLEASE keep them coming! I SOOOOO envy you guys and gals who got to see the races back in the day! Also.... any video from back then is appreciated!!!

I think I missed something here as to how the reference to the painter came about, but it sounds like you're talking George Gruber or Dale Burton here.:doh:
