Went to the burg Friday night to watch the Lucas Oil Late Models. Heck of a show by the lm's. Race came down to the final lap. Lot of passing and a 3 grove track. Very good show for the fans. It was also the largest crowd I have ever seen at the burg. (only been there about 10 times) Lot of talk about bringing the lm's back more than 1 time on 2011. I think that would be awsome. At first I thought the $25 ticket was a little salty, but I do beleive they have the cheapest concession in the state.Had a great time, i will come back for more. Dave I would gladly pay 10 bucks more if you could figure out how to get the mods to quit spinning every 2 laps :2:.

I was there, Had a great time. Track was wide and packed and three and four wide.

I totally disagree with cheapest concession, In fact the other way around. however you can bring coolers and food. I usually buy something anyway and am not complaining.

Big crowd. Great track.

Complaints? Why did they put the advertisers signs right in the pull off area of the track? This caused several yellows of cars not being able to get off the track. Guess thats TV for ya.

I cant complain about a 25 buck ticket for a $10,000 to win show when we are all paying 20 bucks a head to get into a $4,000 to win USAC show. But, the structure in the purses are a tad bit different as well. As is everyones taste in entertainment. Im guaranteed a great show at a USAC event, and a great show at a Lucas event.

USAC PURSE
PRIZE MONEY DISTRIBUTION
SEMI-FEATURE - Cars finishing 1 through 6 transfer to Event No. 8
All cars not transferring to the feature will receive $100.
-FEATURE-
1. $5,000 4. $1,000 7. $750 10. $625 13. $550 16. $475 19. $475 22. $450
2. $2,500 5. $900 8. $700 11. $600 14. $525 17. $475 20. $475
3. $1,250 6. $800 9. $650 12. $575 15. $500 18. $475 21. $450
Point Fund—$1,000.00 Champion Appearance—$250.00
Feature—$20,200.00 GRAND TOTAL—$21,450.00

LUCAS OIL LATE MODEL DIRT SERIES PURSE
From the payout from the Indiana Icebreaker at Brownstown that I have exceeds $44,250 and we charged $25.

767, I just want you to know im not slamming you BY ANY means. Just giving a comparison of the purses and ticket prices. But from the video I seen on the internet of the race at the Burg...it was one hell of a show.

No you are right, I do not have the entire break down, but $10,000 to win and $700 to start. I did not make it to Sprint week at the burg, but I think the ticket prices were compairable. I'm deffinatly not tring to say which was the better show here. Just stateing that as a fan walking in my initial thought was ouch, as a fan walking out, I AM READY FOR MORE! I'm sure many peopel went to sprint week saying the exact same thing

O ya name me another race track you can get a beer for $2

Youre right, I was thinking about something else. We charged $30 bucks and paid $10,000 to win for the Late MOdels, $1,000 to win for the Super Stocks AND Modifieds, and $800 to win for the Pure Stocks.

one too many classes

Well while we are talking tin tops I would like to see the East West 50 brought back. It was ran only one year the day after the north south. I think it was 89 or 90.
