And some people will come on here and throw a hissy fit over TSS's John Deere Show. Well, you can see a great show with 17 cars at Haubstadt or sit through a miserable night at other tracks that apparently don't care to make the effort to get the track right.

I wasn't there but from what I seen on FB people had a great time. And from pics Ive seen. I don't see the horrid conditions described by some people that weren't even there.

Congrats Shawn Westerfeld! Jason would have been proud!

the 57 of Brandon spithaler flipped coming off 4 after hitting a marker tire. he was at least 15' in the air. he got out and was ok. I thought the sprint feach was good. westerfeld did the best job of taking care of his tires by keeping his car straight on a slick track. 38 hornets=smash bang crashem up crash up derby is fun.....

Shawn Westerfeld used to be our little secret at Lawrenceburg. He was a guy who ran hard every week and was ALWAYS taking it towards the front. Then he would load the car up and wait until next Saturday at the 'burg. This year, in addition to the 'burg he has run different venues and is now chasing BOSS series points. Last night Shawn Westerfeld wasn't going to be denied and to the Lawrenceburg faithful they weren't surprised in the least. Fittingly it would be at Lawrenceburg last night where not only would be net a win he would grab the BOSS series points lead. I'm sure that if Jason Soudrette didn't find his car in the circle last night he would still be very pleased to see Shawn Westerfeld there instead.

My only complaint is the Westerfelds run mostly on their own dime and the hood of their car is bare. It would be great if a good sponsor would appear on that hood. I'm sure they would get a nice return on their investment.

I went to Tri State for Sprintweek, and even with a couple breaks to work the track, the feature was very dusty. It was still a very good race, but if I remember right when someone mentioned dust, you replied something like, imagine that dust at a dirt track. We are lucky in Indiana to have some of the best racing and promoters in the world. It seems like you should not be so critical of others, since you weren't even there. There are several tracks outside of southwest Indiana that offer great racing. The best part is they are all different.

Lets see:
The KY hillbillies were arguing in the stands and the police were summoned. BTW, that Lburg cop took way too much crap from one of them.
The night ended up with a different flagger than started the evening.
The young rotund man with the sideless shirt that always stands at the rail cheering on a driver, he was wished a happy birthday by Chad and got a nice round of applause.
I bought 2 pizzas, a coke, and some M&M's, it came to $14.25
There was a 5 car tangle with 3 upside down in turn 1.

I guess what you "read on facebook" has more credence than what I saw Charles?

Considering I can't get out, Id of had a great time last night even on a off night at the track.

I've been there and other tracks that got slick after hotlaps and said here we go................ Usually either the track gets reworked to decent or even the racers make a hell of a show out of it and I leave happy. I can name the number of races I've left feeling not satisfied on one hand over hundreds of races over forty nine years. If this was one for you. I can see that. It just wasn't that way for everyone.

And whats the five car hornet deal got to do with anything? A bunch showed up that haven't raced there.

I can say for sure Id of paid 25 if I could to see Tmez 15th to 2nd run. BUt the track must have been junk huh? Racers find a way.
