I am going to opt for Bill Gardner and Mrs. G by his side. The other two spots can remain vacant on the side of my mountain for the rest of eternity. I am sure I can pull in a lot of boys and girls to pick up a chisel and hammer this into my hillside.
Thanks, Mrs. G for all you do for us to allow us to keep hitting back and forth about this and that and that and this.
And thank you, too. Bill. I know you are still watching.
Well I don't have much to say that hasn't already been said, but I'm killing time waiting to meet some friends for great cajun food in Lafayette, Louisiana, so here goes:
Haven't followed pavement racing for many years, but the obvious choices of guys who went from dirt to Big $$$ pavement racing would seem to be: AJ Foyt, Mario Andretti, Parnelli Jones
Since I've been going to sprint car racing (2010), I'm gonna pick 5 (averages out to 4, right? ) Kinser. Schatz, Swindell, BC. Kyle Larson
Never saw Opperman, Hinnerschnitz (SP?)or any of those other guys. I'm sure they were great too

Off the top of my head I think I’d go with Kinser, Schatz, Clauson, and a toss up of Bell/Larson for the fourth spot. My list isn’t entirely fair since I’m pretty young and don’t feel qualified to judge the likes of Opperman and Wolfgang, sadly didn’t get to witness their primes. I’ve seen enough of Steve’s and his statistics give me the strong confidence to include him lol. Bell and Larson don’t get to race open wheel much but the fact that when they do they’re always near the front and have both won plenty of open wheel races put them at the top for me.
Edit: forgot my 5th, I’ll add Darland
Darland should be on Mt. Rushmore of different car every year
