Another great race!! To bad the yellow had to fly with 4 to go. Think kyle would of got stanbrough. Kyle was making huge gains through lap traffic and was there when the yellow flew. Stanbrough has been running for years and has the restarts down to perfection.

That was yet another intense, extremely entertaining feature at Haubstadt. Jon was fast all night. He was on the front row because he came from 9th in his heat race to finish second. In the A-Main he bolted to the lead and started to check out. Once he got into lapped traffic though, Kyle Cummins started to reel him in in a hurry and Brady Short was in third. After the first yellow, the top cars were all separated by lapped cars, so Jon built a big lead again, but the others got through the back markers before the next yellow. So then we had our first restart with the top cars all nose to tail. That was on lap 15. From that point, the race went from good to great. Kyle was real good on the bottom and was putting pressure on Jon. Clayton was on the move and went at it with Brady and then Chase. Hunter was quickly working his way through the field, from his 17th starting spot, as this was all going on. The battle between Daron and Chase was a great one. Then on the next to last restart, Kyle pulled out all the stops and was all over Jon, briefly talking the lead with a daring slide job in traffic, coming out of turn four. But Stanbrough being the bulldog that he is, grabbed the lead right back and then just as this battle was escalating into something that would have the really brought the house down, the yellow came out for a multi car pileup in between turns 3 and 4. So then we had another restart, with the leaders nose to tail, but this time Jon got an excellent jump and even though Kyle threw caution to the wind one more time, he had enough momentum to carry him to a decent margin of victory. The last restart was a little anti-climatic compared to what it looked like we were in store for, had the previous battle been able to continue. It was still an excellent race though and was a hard fought victory for Stanbrough. He definitely had to earn that one. You have to feel for Kyle Cummins. He's been the catalyst in several great races there this year and has done everything but win.

Another Barn burner at Haubstadt. Wow, Jon was smooth as silk, as always, and on the button. Just a seasoned veteran on those restarts. Kyle will get him one at Tri-State before the year is out. Came real close tonight on several instances. Clayton again uses his restarts to his up most advantage to advance positions. Hated to see 100% have problems early as he is always a heavy hitter here. Excellent field of cars, but I just have to wonder how this would have shaken out if the field would of included Robert Ballou.
