I wish I only had to work on it midweek, Sunday 5 hrs, Monday 8hrs, Tuesday 7 Hrs. Everyday is a work on track day! Unless it rains, then it's work on other stuff day, lol. I wonder myself how many laps I make? I should put a transponder on. Lol
Dave, the burg has been my home track for over 50 years, and I am always glad to see ISW, any USAC show, the different memorials, Gaines, etc. and it would be a total thrill to see you bring in a multi-day show like that. You have the best facility bar none, with camping, plenty parking, nearby hotels & restaurants. Start with your idea, if it works expand it. The casino would love to see all those people in town with a couple hours of spare time between shows. Go for it, we'll support it.
This is a great post for a couple of reasons. Here we have a track operator who actually works to prepare the track ahead of time as opposed to some who wait until the evening before or even the morning of to begin working the track. And two, we actually have a track operator who is also a promotor. IMO there are very few promotors today. Yes...being a promotor adds additional risk to an already risky business, but it also brings the opportunity for reward if done properly and with forethought.
My compliments to you Mr. Rudisell, for your tireless efforts on your facility and for your efforts to be not just a track operator but a promotor?

I was grading dirt up from the very bottom of the track, the service road if you will, and as I kept bringing up more dirt from down there And as I got about 70 feet up from the bottom I thought hmmmm, we should have a race down there, it measures 1/4 mile on the bottom. So here is my idea.
The Switching Gears Nationals!!
A two day show....Friday we run a complete show on the 1/4 mile track and on Saturday back to the high banks 3/8ths.
$5000 to win each night and a $5000 bonus to win both nights. Maybe run tqs on Friday as a support class, since they like smaller tracks. The 1/4 mile has a little banking but not a lot. What do you all think about that?
I'm sure that this is my first response to the burg having a 2 our 3 day show at the burg ( lol ) I think its great dave go make it happen and you will make a lot of racing fans happy. Pack the house at the burg.
