Thursday had a fair crowd. Friday more, Saturday great crowd.

Post race @ Bill & Barney's Bash featuring the Tim Siner 'Stache Clash... EPIC! We were across the way listening to retelling stories of Chuck Amati exploits while the young guns at the "Bash" were creating their own. I expect Ross Wece will have a video of the festivities posted on youtube soon. About 4 am we decided to drag the race car and our tired butts back home. The "Bash" was still going strong.

Buckwalters run from the C all the way to 6th of the A-main on the final night. Family and friends around to enjoy everything about this weekend. I'm certain next year will be just as exciting as this year, can hardly believe this season is over.
Levi's run through the C main to win the feature Saturday night won't stick with you?

What will stick with me about that run is Shane Hmiel in victory lane as a car owner the night before the 1 year anniversary of the crash that ended his racing career. Absolutely priceless

Two excellent runs. Levi started 3rd in the C and won the A, Steve Buckwalter started 13th in the C and finished 6th in the A. Buckwalter started that far back because he ran at Granite Thursday and then flew back to Pennsylvania to run with the World of Outlaws Friday. I understand he was 2nd in the WoO show with not many laps to go when his engine let him down.

Great talking with skids59 and the many IOWers at this classic. Something I haven't seen posted yet is that the $250 award to the hard charger was sponsored by Tim Clauson. Class act all the way.

Something I would like for all fans to do is send thanks to the Gundakers for having this great event. The email is tricityspeedway@msn.com. I had the opportunity to have a chat with Kevin on Saturday and thanked him because I figured that this sort of purse for a modified show would get a much larger turnout. He said they had a modified show a couple of weeks earlier paying $3,000 each night and had 167 modifieds. Think of the pit passes, concessions, ticket sales, etc. with a crowd like that. We are very lucky that the Gundakers are willing to have this event year after year.

Brad Kuhn Passed 28 cars over 3 days in A-Mains to win Hard Charger. It was sponsored by Bryan Clauson (not Tim)

Yep, sure will. A bunch of stuff stands out. Just trying to start some positive conversation.
