That was a awesome night. Wish the track had widened before the midget heats but after it did. WOW. Wasn't two grooves, One on the bottom and one on the curb, But three, Chad boat found the middle marbles to his liking and grabbed second in the last couple laps.

Sprints, I said Tmez would find a way. Bacon took off to almost a half lap lead, Don't know if he had motor problems or a leaking line somewhere but it was smoking midway. Tmez worked his way up from nineth and passed bacon in the late laps.

Congrats to Windom on his awesome run and win.

Thanks to Stat Man Richie for the brief chat and words of encouragement.

Thanks to Chad C for the kinds words at opening, They weren't just meant for me, but a lot of people going thru a rough patch in life.

Since I can't be total Burg Fan Boy, Mother Nature could have changed the wind direction as my grey turned brown. But at the same time. IT RAINED EVERYWHERE BUT BURG!

I believe we ended up with 19 sprint

Indeed we did have 19 sprint cars. Luke Hall and his team showed up late and indicated they had a flat tire on the way in. They missed hot laps.

I was watchng the scoring tower as much as the cars in hot laps for the midgets 24 or 25 of the 27 were within like 4 tenths and when they qualified it was mostly like that. almost the whole field within half a second. You almost never get that with sprint cars, Sometimes there's a 2-3 second difference but it's often a full second.

I know some like the Kokomo style swap between three positions in each turn. But to watch these cars at speed, dogging each other, High and low groove 40ft apart and some monster three story sliders is pure art.

While the midgets have given up on THAT, Perris and other large tracks, I hope this never happens with Burg, Eldora and the other few bigger tracks that are left. That PA group used to run em a ton. Sad to see it not racing.

Watched the show on Flo Racing in my easy chair in Florida. Great show from the Burg. Track was in fine condition. Looking forward to getting up there for the Dickie Gaines show in August. Sad to see that Kokomo got rained out. All racing in Florida rained out last night, what there is of it. Hope to see you in August Charlie.

I don't go to Lawrenceburg that often as we live on the west side of Indiana but I told my other two traveling companions that I thought that was the best surface I ever saw at Lawrenceburg!!! It was virtually dustless and smooth the entire evening. There were three grooves and plenty of passing. The midget feature only trailed Lincoln Park as the best midget race of IMW. Kudos to the Lawrenceburg track crew on a job well done. Thank God for cloud cover!!! Loved T-Mez's quote on Twitter that he brought his best right rear tire to kick Thomas' ass and where is he??? Great night of racing.
