TERRE HAUTE’S USAC SILVER CROWN SUMAR CLASSIC POSTPONED

Terre Haute, Indiana (May 7, 2023)………Saturated grounds and continuous, ongoing thunderstorms and showers on race day morning have forced postponement of Sunday’s 20th running of the Sumar Classic featuring the USAC Silver Crown National Championship at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track.

USAC and Terre Haute Action Track officials are working on a reschedule date for the Sumar Classic, which will be released in the coming week on USAC’s social media pages and on the series website at www.usacracing.com.

The USAC Silver Crown season will now open on May 19-20 at the Belleville High Banks in Kansas as the series returns to the venue for the first time since 2015.* It’s a USAC national doubleheader that also features the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship both nights on the Belleville short track. Tickets for the Belleville event are now on sale at www.bellevillehighbanks.org.

That wouldn't work - they run 7/20 at Winchester

Winchester is Thursday the day before Sprint week starts. Those are pavement Silver Crown cars so wouldn’t need to turn them around in 5 days.

Terre Haute can't catch a break with Mother Nature. It seems to me that "she" don't wanna have a race there and it seems it's been that way for years. I love that place but whomever the promotor is, " Mother Nature" says no....

Man I have spent some money trying to get this race in.
Being from nor cal and flying back and forth.
Eldora was a blast as always .

USAC put up on website rained out so my take is there done with trying to run Silver crown at terre haute this season.

Double show during speedweek would have been the best ever. 2 Silver crown and 8 sprint car races what a week that could have been.
