2023 USAC EAST COAST SPRINT CAR SCHEDULE RELEASED

By: Richie Murray – USAC Media

Speedway, Indiana (December 26, 2022)………The USAC Rapid Tire East Coast 360 Sprint Cars Presented by Capitol Custom Trailers has a full schedule of events set and ready to go for the 2023 season.

The series enters its sixth season of competition with 21 events at 11 different tracks in four different states (New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania & Virginia).

The dream of a championship and the realization of a title season begin and end with four dates at the same venue – Swedesboro, New Jersey’s Bridgeport Motorsports Park.* The season’s kickoff arrives at Bridgeport twice in April on both the 1st and 22nd.* The return occurs during the final two days of the year on October 27-28.

A busy month of April takes the series to Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway on the 7th and the series boomerangs back to Georgetown on September 29.* Two more dates in the first state are tentatively scheduled for April 21 and September 1 at Delmar’s Delaware International Speedway.

The bulk of the series consists of action in the state of Pennsylvania with more than half of the schedule taking place in the Keystone State.* On April 14 and June 2, it’s off to the legendary Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa.* The classic Bedford (Pa.) Speedway welcomes the series twice on both April 28 and June 9.

The big and fast half-mile of Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway is the place to be on April 29 and August 19.* Singular dates mark the month of May with the series making its lone trips of the year to Bechtelsville, Pa.’s Grandview Speedway on May 13 and to Mill Hall, Pa.’s Clinton County Speedway on May 19.

Action Track USA at the Kutztown (Pa.) Fairgrounds brings two summer events to its racy bullring on July 12 and August 20.* The one and only visit of the season to Abbottstown, Pa.’s Lincoln Speedway arrives on August 5.

Furthermore, the series ventures to Virginia’s Winchester Speedway for a pair of showdowns on its dirt high banks on May 27 and August 12.

Alright, wingless sprint cars in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley.... Winchester, birthplace of Patsy Cline
Back in the early 60s when i started going to dirt track races, their Big Dog, Bill Nalley, used to occasionally come down to Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Va. & beat our Big Dog, Smokey Stover (modified "jalopy" coupes).
Pretty rare occurrence, they sometimes had winged 305d in the area (ho hum....) Hope they have a big crowd & it goes well.
