USAC NATIONALS RETURNS TO HUSET’S IN JULY 2022

Brandon, South Dakota (November 3, 2021)………The Huset’s Speedway USAC Nationals returns to the USAC calendar in 2022 with a new date on July 8-9-10 at the Brandon, South Dakota 1/3-mile dirt oval.

The Friday, Saturday, Sunday night show will feature three consecutive nights of doubleheader events for the USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship and the USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship.

The inaugural event was held this past September with C.J. Leary (Sprint) and Chris Windom (Midget) each collecting $20,000 paydays on the final night.* Both Leary and Windom won also won Friday night’s programs.* Tanner Thorson (Sprint) and Thomas Meseraull captured Thursday’s opener.

Huset’s first hosted USAC National Midget racing in 1996 with Kenny Irwin Jr. scoring the victory.* A pair of USAC Sprint Car non-points special events were held in 2016 with Chad Boespflug the big winner.

Hopefully a better date to draw cars. I went last year and the racing was great can't wait to return.

That was Knoxville weekend. Replacing Knoxville with Huset's. Disappointing no Cornbelt Nationals at Knoxville in 2022.

I would think this date would be harder to draw cars, with more tracks running that time of year.

There will be quite a few surprises in the USAC schedules for 2022. Some good some not so good.

Even with decades of experience, I can predict the weather better than I can car counts.🤔

What/who is going to make the show better if the car count is higher. All the top teams were there. Was all of Cali supposed to show up? POWRi isn’t co sanctioning this. The shows were awesome this year.

No midgets in PA. Only one PA sprint trip are a couple I can share.

On a positive note it's warm here at Perris and the track is much better than last night.

Midgets at Action Track USA was freaking awesome. Shame they are not going back if your correct.
