2021 Opener at Waynesfield Saturday March 27th

The 2021 race season is set to begin for both the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series and the Ti22 Performance FAST on Dirt tour at Waynesfield Raceway Park, this Saturday, March 27th. The BOSS portion of the show will be the "Let's Go 30" in honor of Mr. Russ Cook, a longtime Waynesfield super fan and a supporter of traditional sprint car racing. The BOSS main event will pay $3,000 to the winner of the 30 lap main event with $375 to start. The companion FAST on Dirt, winged 410 sprint cars will also be running a 30 lap main event for a $4,000 to win prize with $400 to start the main event.

Pit gates will open at 12:30 pm on Saturday with the driver's meeting scheduled for 2:15. Racing is scheduled to begin at 4 pm. Adult general admission is $18 with seniors $15. Kids ages 11-15 will be $10 while kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes will be $30.

FAST cars must run the flat top wing with the maximum 2" wicker, tires must be the Hoosiers on all 4 corners with the right rear a choice of the H15, H20, or Medium and the H series left rears. You do NOT need to run the same right rear all night. Weight rule remains 1400# with driver post race. FAST cars will hot lap and then immediately time trial. As always, with BOSS and FAST, there are no driver memberships or entry fees. Raceceivers are required anytime cars are on the track. We also require the yellow Westhold transponders, which will be available to rent at the track. Mufflers are NOT required for this event.

A special thanks to those who contribute to help us pay the heat race and bonus money at every event! These include: All Star Performance, MPD Racing, Ti22 Performance, ARP Fasteners, MSD Ignitions, Helms & Sons Construction, NAPA of Fremont, TCB Speed, Hoosier Tire Midwest, The Cushion.com, Apple Metal Polishing, Appco Racing, Cowen Truck Line, The Bridge at Sidney, All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads, Accu-Force Dynos and Testers, E A Home Supply, Kear's Speed Shop and the family of Mr. Russell Cook!

Mother nature not playing nice this weekend with Attica getting rained out tonight and they will be running on Saturday afternoon also using their advertised rain date. So that will split the 410 winged field for Saturday. I still think there will be a good field of cars at each track and the weather forecast is looking good for Saturday. Lets go racing.

I will be interested in seeing how this BOSS/FAST double works out. Everyone says they want all sprint shows. Box checked. Everyone says they do not want more than 2 or 3 classes (2 classes). Box checked. Many say they like twilight shows in the spring for comfort and to get home at a decent hour from 2-3 hours away. Box checked. I will be scanning the pits and the grandstands to see if this is all BS talking or does the box get checked for more shows like this. We the People, decide.
