The track actually addressed this on their Facebook page on Friday I think it was.
As far as another place to start, bring em to Volusia. Last time midgets ran there it was pavement

How about the 1/2 mile for 2 nights and the 1/4 for 2 nights...Where? just up the road at All Tech Raceway outside Lake City, just a mile off I-75.... we will be putting the 1/4 in when they close for summer break in July.

We Southeastern Sprint Car Series already had 1 race there on the 1/2 mile ...dry slick and had several lead swaps at the flag but many many more slide jobs in the corners...To quote Donnie Schatz when he was testing there in Feb., "this is the smooths track with the most grip I have ever been to...I love this joint"...Florida "GUMBO" clay

We've had better weather in February than March, April and May the past couple years. but that's now what I meant, Have it in March or April. Short off season getting ready for mid Feb. But they do it because it's scheduled.

Obviously I am biased but I'd love to see the So Cal/AZ tracks to start the season.
The track in Volusia is owned by World of Outlaws now so I highly doubt USAC will be running there.
