I was able to access the internet at the track. I have AT&T and my internet provider is Time Warner. Guy behind me asked me how I was able to get the internet, and I told him the above info and he said Time Warner was the reason I was able to access the internet. I don't know, but it worked.

Here I shut my phone off at the track to unplug from the digital world and enjoy the spectacle that is racing.

It wasn't a perfect day however. That was during the time of smoke signals and the wind was blowing too hard to read them.

Incite your heart to see beyond the view.

There is Verizon coverage at Eldora.

When attendance is light, and there are fewer Verizon customers hitting the nearest towers, signal is ok......ish.

The problem comes when attendance goes up. Once the campground really filled up signal went to suck. However there was some 4G around 2-5am, likely because people had powered off their phones.

Once the campground began to clear Sunday morning signal returned to previous levels.

It is cool to know Verizon is putting in a tower for the area. A long term investment and maintenance project for a few weekends in the summer. I suppose they would shut in down out of season, but maybe not. Maybe the turkeys and corn around there need a tower too
