MVT / BOSS Sprints Ready to Rumble at Moler

Each year, the Mo Vaughn Transport / Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series has one event on the schedule that surprises EVERYONE with great racing, a large field, and an overall fantastic night of racing. One year ago, the scene was the Montpelier Motor Speedway in Indiana when 41 of the best non wing sprints in the nation played before a record crowd at the newly remodeled facility. The traveling series returns to Montpelier on September 12th for an encore performance.

The surprise event of 2015 may very well be this coming Friday night when the tour invades Moler Raceway Park near Williamsburg, Ohio for the first time ever! Located in southwestern Ohio along scenic route 32, this quarter mile high banked bullring played host to a handful of non sanctioned, non wing sprint car events when it first opened under the promotion of former Lawrenceburg promoter Tom Weick. With many other Friday tracks shutting down or switching nights to accommodate high school football season, the Moler event will be packed with race cars.

Shawn Westerfeld of nearby Guilford, Indiana will come into the event with the points lead over past BOSS champions Mike Miller and Dustin Smith who both still have a very realistic shot at a repeat title. Cooper Clouse, Aaron Middaugh, Chad Wilson and Michael Fischesser also all have title chances, but with only 5 events remaining, it's time to put it all on the line!

Friday night, gates will open at 5 pm with the drivers meeting at 7 pm. Hot laps will begin at 7:15 with racing promptly at 7:45. Only 3 divisions will be running so the program will be moving along quickly! Mufflers or muffler inserts are mandatory for this event. Watch for details on prices to be announced on the Moler website at www.molerracewaypark.com or follow the tour on facebook and twitter.

The A-Main purse is as follows: 1500, 900, 700, 600, 500, 450, 400, 375, 350, 325, 300, 290, 280, 270, 260, and 250 to start

For those that haven't been to Moler before it is a racey 1/4 mile bullring with characteristics that make it a 2-3 wide race track for stock cars and should be even better for the NW sprinters. I've been looking forward to this all year.

Track wise reminded me of Limaland, Lasalle,Il. when I watched the Late Model video from this past weekend.

Lot tighter than Limaland, Back and front straights are only about 50ft apart.

It should be a good show. They prep it a lot better now than what they did when i seen sprints last there.

Have fun, Can't make it but will be at Burg Sat.
