The first 5 Pre-Entries have been released for the National Speed Sport News 66 Mike Phillips Memorial. More entries will be added on occasion, so continue to check back to www.RaceThe66.com to keep up to date with all of the big names that will be battling in their Winged Outlaw Micro Sprints for the $10,000 Grand Prize as POWRi hosts the biggest Micro Sprint Event of the summer July 19-20 at the Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, Illinois! Also, be sure to head over now to the Entry page to get your entry in now!

Next up for big announcements out of The NSSN 66 stables is the addition of third year partner Sawyer Chassis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma! Coming on board at a perfect time, Sawyer Chassis has just transitioned into new ownership by successful Muskogee, Oklahoma businessman and racer, Mike Ross. Sawyer Chassis is extremely excited for the amazing opportunity that will allow the business to expand far beyond original expectations, while still allowing previous owner father-son duo Bobby and Scott Sawyer to continue running operations on a daily basis. Because of this, Sawyer Chassis will still maintain the same quality while looking forward to extensive business improvements including increased productivity, stocked parts warehouse, up-to-date webpage with online shopping, apparel, and much more. Sawyer Chassis is anxious to return to the highest paying micro race in the country after, not only winning the first two years of The 66, but filling out a substantial amount of the field in both events. In 2011, they filled 4 of the top 5 and 6 of the top 10, taking home over half of the total purse. And it was in 2012 where Sawyers made up half of the 24 car field, locking up the entire top 5 and, once more, 6 of the top 10, while winning all three nights of the event. It goes without saying that Sawyer Chassis is one of The 66’s biggest fans. Check them out on Facebook or online at www.SawyerChassis.com.

Another great addition to The National Speed Sport News 66 Mike Phillips Memorial comes in the form of driver entry by none other than 2010 POWRi Micro Champion Jeremy Camp of Blue Mound, Illinois. Currently 3rd in POWRi’s Micro Series Points, Camp made the switch back to Sawyer Chassis, in which he won his previous Championship in, and really seems to be settling back into it well. Making the swap to engines from our partner OSR Bikes and Motors, the Bartosik Motorsports driver has every intention of going home with the biggest win in micro sprint racing.
