Great photos that bring back memories when Knoxville was truly a happening. Saw my first one in 1970 and last one in 1984. Quit going when they went wings, smoothed the rough edges off of everything. Made it a "professional" event which meant sanitizing things to the point where it lost much of its appeal. Think there is a lesson here before going and off wanting to make our side of the sport something similar. All change is not necessarily positive progress.
