Who would be going back to just building cars? Both teams being refered to in this post, the Hoffman's and the Fox Bros, never built cars.

Wrong. There were several Hoffman chassis.

How tough were those cars on the banks? No matter who they had behind the wheel be it Vogler Stanley Irwin or Michner those were some of the best cars to watch in Funks former half miles.

The number #50 Sprint car that ran USAC with Cameron Dodson and Must See/Xtreme sprint car series now with Brian Gerster is a 1991 Hoffman chassis. The car and Gerster had a good season this year setting fast time and winning at Kalamazoo and Bristol.
