Photo taken 8-13, from the track's website.

This was the weekend that the Ron Shuman Classic was always ran @ Lakeside. It's been 6 weeks since the track was first inundated and it still looks just about as bad as it did back in early July. This is a beautiful racing facility. One of the best I've ever been to. I hope it makes it back from this. God only knows what it track it's self is going to look like after the water subsides.

Lakeside being flooded has made for a long summer for its loyal fans. As you could imagine, the local rumor mill is running rampant with stories about the track. Can not wait unitl the track returns to normal. Just sad because it is looking like next spring before the next race.

Jerry, Looks like the water is going down, the tickets booth is out of the water now. Ha!! In some earlier photos you could see the current of the river flowing through the track. I hope we get to go back there next year for some more non winged racing. It has always been a good show when we've been there as well as big crowds.
Any chance of you going to Perris this year for the Oval Nationals?

Need to warn Mowerman not to go there.
There sure to be snakes hanging around for some time after the water goes down.
