Did anyone else see Ernie Irvin and family at Kokomo last night?

Yes he was. He was sitting beside his son in row 4 in the 4th turn seats. We think his son was racing Quarter midgets at the nationals @ IMS

Yeah, I saw him walking in front of the grandstand before hot laps and thought to myself, "Hey, that looks like Ernie Irvan." As soon as I had that thought, a group of people in the stands yelled, "Hey Ernie!" He waved back to the crowd. Good to see him at sprint car race.

Cool guy, met him about twelve years ago along with Robert Yates, At the time he said if it wasn't jeopardizing his Napcar contract he'd of jumped in Spille's sprinter in a heartbeat.

We yelled to him and he waved back. He does not look to healthy, kinda thin, but is still kickin'.

Ernie had a son in the Elite 8 Young Guns race at the Indianapolis Speedrome last Wednesday. He finished second.

Somebody else said they saw Elvis too, but I wasn't there, so I don't know if that was true or not.

His son won SR. HONDA class yesterday afternoon at the Battle of the Brickyard Quarter Midget race. His sons name is JARED IRVAN. I'm sure we're going to hear that name in the near future a lot.

I've met him before too. I can't say he was the nicest guy, but he did sign an autograph for me about 16-17 years ago in Charlotte.
