Way to go BC! I bet he just took a big chunk out of Kuhn's NMDOTY lead. On to Canyon!

Based on tonights results it is hard to argue against the fact that California produces the best open wheel drivers in the country....

Sprint Cars... Cole Whitt, Alpine, CA
Midgets.... Brian Clausen, Sacramento, CA
Focus... Garrett Peterson, Sacramento, CA

Oh and lets not forget where the USAC Silver Crown Champion is from.... San Jose, CA.

With the finishes of Pierovich, Kaplan and Sweet a case can be made that NorCal produces the best open wheelers in the country.

Incredible job by all of them, you made us proud.

Happy thanksgiving,
Rick

Feed cut in and out couple times, but I think better than last year and other race I tried this fall. All-and-all pretty neat to watch race on Thanksgiving night! Thanks to all who make this happen. First half - or whole race really - was awesome. Irwindale has to be best place to run, if not on dirt track. Looks like Wilke's spent a lot of time on the #11...always good to see the white & red #11 run up front...as it has most of my life...

Or maybe they just have more $$$$$ in the ole' racing budget.

I know of a few Indiana drivers that would have mixed it up with the Cali boys if they had the money to make the trip.

Thats why the Cali drivers all come to Indiana and race?

It was a good race and awesome for getting to watch on Thanksgiving. I was doing updates for those who don't have the high speed, sorry if it offended someone.

Let's not start that fire Rick. They are ALL really good racers..PERIOD.

But, now that one of the west coast midget racing organizations has changed their rules restricting the ability of the "Cali" kids from learning their craft in similar "equiped" cars to which run in the mid west, those might be the last names you will be able to quote from Cali. Every kid on your list proved themselves in California racing the same "exact" cars as compete Indiana. Now they are not, at least not in Nor-Cal.

Or, they are going to skip California all together and move to Indiana to start off. I hope not.

I'm not disputing your groups ideals, I think they are very well intentioned, but maybe not well thought out in the long term when talking driver development. Just ask anyone of those kids you listed and get their opinion. (It should have been done before the rule change but I don't belive it was) I would be interested in their replies.
