Very sad news to wake up to. I first met Petey at 67 Raceway Park for the SCRA race there. Must have been 2003 I think. Seen him at many other places as well since then. My condolences to his family. RIP Petey.....

That is just absolute shocking news. I just talked to Corey at Du Quoin. I hadn’t seen him in a while so we had a nice chat. Sure didn’t think that would be the last time I would see him. Glad I ran into him. I met him a few years back. A group of us would pick a day to all meet at a bar during the Chili Bowl and Corey was one of the people. Really sad. I’ll be sure to toast one to him at a racetrack very soon. RIP Petey.

I'm in total shock reading this, this morning. I too just talked with Corey and his dad at DuQuoin last weekend. He was upbeat as usual as we talked about the nights events and the upcoming Gold Crown at Granite City.
He was a neat guy, a good friend and one hell of a race fan.
Thoughts and prayers to his dad Ron and the rest of the family.

Godspeed Buddy.
