That's what we will refer to as the ugly part. There was some of that. Like I said, it was all interesting to stand and watch.

I never said he couldn’t/shouldn’t say anything if he feels he needs to. All I said was time and place. Go to the car, say something and then finish it later in the pits if want to. Don’t stand there for a minute and tell everybody to f-off that says anything about getting away from the car. Had nothing to do with who it was or where it was to me. Has nothing to do with the crowd beating him up either. I’m thinking an f-off to anybody in the crowd isn’t really want you are wanting to do when looking back at the end of the night. I have no beef with him being mad....you can't give an inch out there....too many good drivers. Just think it could have been handled better. That's just how I saw it.....

What kind of a show do you want? Racers just followin each other around the track. My Guess is your answer is no. You want to see hard competitive racing. End results of some hard fun racing aren't good. But I don't know anyone who would want it different. As far as ballou or any other racer goes. If you find an opening the ony way to get around someone is to try it. No one knows if it will work or whether you stick or not. Sometimes it just ends up looking bad. DD has been on the bad end of those chances too this year. Everyone is out to try to win. How else you going to do that without driving hard. I'm rambling but Just racing IMO

Standing near Cripe & DD's crew at the pit entrance I saw the deal. Maybe it's BS to let a driver speak to the other about what happened on the track.
BUT!
What if Ballou had talked to DD in the pits instead of a controled 1 on 1 on the track? The DD fans & crew and Ballou fans would of had heated words and actions that probally lead to a major pit fight!
The way it happened nobody threw punches only words and the crowd got to see it all. Besides DD is the hometown hero and the fans were on his side.
How many people are talking about this today at work and the watercooler?? A bunch.
Not that ISW tracks need to worry about selling seats but I'm sure a lot of fans will think about going to a race now to see great racing and maybe a talk or two.
The USAC offical rode the 4 wheeler over and parked near by and yes he watched, not that he was going to be able to control the deal if DD had climbed out of his car. But USAC was there, finally Bill Carey rolled that way and the discussion was over.
This is why we all love ISW, it is the most intense USAC racing on the schedule.

Don't forget tonight RacinwithDO show at Kelly's. Guest host helping us out tonight will be Sean Buckley of Jackshalsh fame and more.
Kevin Miller & Jason McCord will be there along with cars and drivers for this special outdoor show. ISW USAC highlights will be playing as well.

Enjoy ISW and hope to see you tonight.

Holy Cow what a night of racing! Because of a bum knee I sat 3 rows up by the flagstand and it was incredible. I liked the Robert Ballou show, added a little entertainment during the red flag. Wasn't there to hear the f bombs, but if I had been out there racing as hard as those guys last night I would have had enough adrenelin going to drop f bombs too. That was the passion that was behind all the great racing. Did I mention what a great night of racing yet? My congratulations to all the drivers and teams for a great show.

"karma strikes again" Dude, grow up! Your comments are really getting more immature by the post.

Congrats to Brady for his 2nd runner up for the weekend!

I would also like to put a shout out to #37X Matt Mitchell

Dude drove his butt off in the Semi and passed two guys on the last corner of the last lap to transfer

pretty exciting stuff. He looks pretty darn brave to me!

Welp, this thread is kinda long but, didn't USAC confiscate the RR's of the top three finishers? What were they checking for and does anyone know the results of these "tests"

Yeah they took the right rears off of all of the top 3 cars they were checking for tire prep on there tires. I have not heard about any results from the test yet but my guess is that they will know something before Wednesday. Then again you may never here about this issue ever again.
