LAMB WINS LAKE HAVASU FINALE, BEAN THE USAC RADICAL CHAMP

Lake Havasu, Arizona (November 13, 2021)………The Eastern contingent brought the hammer to the southwest on Saturday night in the USAC Radical SpeeD2 Midget season finale at Arizona’s Havasu 95 Speedway.

Chris Lamb (Colfax, N.C.), a three-time USAC Eastern Midget champ, raced to victory as trouble befell race leader Hunter Wise (Allentown, Pa.) with just four laps remaining.

Meanwhile, Jessica Bean (Farmland, Ind.), who had collected her fifth career USAC Eastern title earlier this season, took her first Radical series championship by an 86-point margin.

Kyle Cline (Apple Valley, Calif.) led the opening six circuits before being overtaken by Wise who led a race high 41 laps.

Lamb was followed to the checkered flag by Kyle Tellstrom (Boise, Idaho) in second with Bean third, Nathan Byrd (Goodyear, Ariz.) fourth and Caleb Edington (Thomasville, N.C.) fifth.

Earlier in the night, Casey Tillman (Boise, Idaho) set fast qualifying time for the second consecutive night at Lake Havasu with a lap of 14.573 seconds.

Trailing Tillman at the checkered were Hunter Wise (Allentown, Pa.), Chris Lamb (Colfax, N.C.), Kyle Tellstrom (Boise, Idaho) and Jessica Bean (Farmland, Ind.).
