Can anyone share some tips on how to get paint to stick to a tail tank. My painter does a slick paint job but if I have to add a letter to my number the paint comes off when I remove the letter. When the tank gets a bump, the paint will crack and eventually come off.

Need to have a rough surface for the paint to get ahold of. Also using a flex agent in the base helps as well. I haven’t dealt with body shop stuff for several years there may be a specific primer now days plastics. Also don’t wanna lay it on too heavy.
