King of the tq recap from twin cities.

22 cars came out saturday night for the king of the tq midget series race at twin cities racewaypark.

Heat race results heat #1
1. #17x tim lynch,2. #17 shawn mcintosh, 3. #35 dustin wheeldon, 4. #9 jeff bruce, 5. #94 dustin foster, 6. #59 mike mcintosh.

Heat race #2. 1. #12 rick robinson, 2. #24 chris mann, 3. #43 logan arnold, 4. #3 stephen arnold, 5. #16 craig eaglin, 6. #23 rob walton, 7. #8 bobby walton.

Heat race #3 1. #18b bobby dewitt, 2. #21 nick speidel, 3. #71 kyle mcintosh, 4. #15 corey eaglin, 5. #88 jamie ross, 6. #26 josh walton, 7. #x colton lucas

feature race action got underway with rick robinson, chris mann battling for the lead with nick speidel and shawn mcintosh moving thru the field to challenge. On lap 4 nick speidel would spin and head to the tail of the field. The restart start seen robinson, mann and mcintosh all battleing for the lead, then suddenly robinson and mann would lose engines on the same lap. That turned the top spot over to shawn mcintosh. Meanwhile speidel was making his way back up thru the field and restarted in 8th with about 12 laps to go. When the green flag flew again speidel would make his way up to 4th when caution flag flew with 4 to go. On the restart second place running logan arnold's car had trouble taking off and speidel went around him and 3rd place running kyle mcintosh and set his sights on race leading shawn mcintosh. They would battle with speidel making the pass with 2 laps to go and he would lead the rest of the way.

the king of the tq midget series would like to thank everyone that came out saturday night, would like to thank twin cities racewaypark for allowing us to come and race. We would like to congratulate nick speidel on the win. To the steed motorsports team keep your heads up hope you guys get everything figured out, hope to see you again later this year. Also great runs for shawn mcintosh, dustin wheeldon, and logan arnold. Don't forget next two races wed. Aug 29 grayson county fair, leitchfield kentucky, and sun. Sept. 2nd charlestown speedway in charlestown indiana

You guys put on a real good race. Sitting in the grand stands watching those little cars at Twin Cities was a lot like watching champ cars at Du quoin pretty neat.

Fleetwoods are supposedly not promoting Twin Cities next year but hopefully whoever does will schedule more of these shows. I think the TQ's and Minisprints on same night is a good fit.
