CRYSTAL PURE WATER NIGHT AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY NIGHT; $1,000 TO WIN FOR O’NEAL WOOD PRODUCTS UMP MODIFIEDS

Bloomington, In.-July 20th, 2009- Coming off of a successful running of the 22nd Annual USAC Indiana Sprint Week, points racing begins once again at the Bloomington Speedway. Along with a $1,400 to win program for the Safety Kleen Sprint Cars and a $500 to win show for the Tire and Wheel Center Super Stocks, the O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds will be running for $1,000 to win. This big payday should ensure a healthy and ultra-competitive field in the O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modified division. This week, the Crystal Pure Water and Air Systems company will play host to the program. Crystal Pure Water and Air Systems provide all of the bottled water to the Bloomington Speedway. In action last Friday night July 17th, Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, IN overtook race leader Levi Jones midway through the feature, and picked up the win in the USAC Indiana Sprint Week event. 49 USAC National Sprint Cars from all over the United States and Austrailia converged on the Bloomington Speedway, as well as fans from all around. The event marked the 22nd time that Bloomington Speedway hosted an Indiana Sprint Week event. Bloomington Speedway holds the distinction of being the only track to host an event in all 22 years of the event. Also in action last Friday night were the MMSA Mini Sprints, with Mike Kiser pulling off a fourth corner, last lap pass for the win over Don Henry.

Current points standings in the Safety Kleen Sprint Car division see Brady Short continue to hold a 15 point advantage over Jeff Bland, Jr.. Ethan Barrow, Ty Deckard, and Scott Hampton remain third, fourth, and fifth respectively. Kent Robinson holds the lead in the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified standings by 21 points over Clint DeMoss. Josh Eads, John DeMoss, and Matt Bex complete the top five. The Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock points standings remain the closest, as three points separate the top three. Brad Cummings currently leads the field by one point over Clayton Perry. Troy Clark is in third just three points behind Cummings. Lee Hobbs and Jack Frye complete the top five.

Pit gates open at 4:30p.m., Grandstands 5:30p.m., Hotlaps at 6:30p.m., Racing at 7:30p.m. Kids 12 and under FREE with paid adult. Grandstand admission $12, Pit admission $25
