What kind of engines were in these midgets? I don't see any of the familiar USAC driver names

Montpelier engine rules. Which is basically open engine rules. National engines, D2 engines, motorcycle engines.
22 of the cars last night were D2. Then a mix of national and motorcycle powered cars. Including at least one Toyota and SR-11.

The winning engine was a Chevy Gaerte in a brand new (maiden shakedown voyage) GRP chassis.
Built by Russ’s brother George who hasn’t built a new Midget many years!
GRP has been building championship winning 600’s for quite a while now, so that has remained the focus of their business.
Now it appears Midgets might take a little more priority.
Congrats!
