Mansfield "Great Lakes Dirt Nationals" Awaits BOSS

With the 2018 championship entering the home stretch, another big weekend awaits the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series. The second annual "Great Lakes Dirt Nationals" is set to host 3 divisions of sprint cars once again. The traditional non wing true outlaws of BOSS will be joined by the FAST 410 winged sprint cars and the FAST 305 winged sprints. Friday night will find BOSS running for $2,000 to win and $250 to start using the standard pill draw format. However, with $3,000 to win and $300 to start on Saturday, a complete new show will feature group qualifying against your heat race group during hot laps.

Each day, pit gates will open at 1 pm with the pill draw opening at 1:30. On Friday, the draw will close at 5:30 pm when the drivers meeting begins. Immediately following the drivers meeting, engine heat and then hot laps will follow. Racing is set to begin at 7 pm. BOSS will run first throughout the program and compete in a 20 lap main event.

On Saturday, the drivers meeting will be moved up a half hour to 5 pm with engine heat and hot laps immediately following. Racing will again begin at 7 pm. BOSS will run second all night on Saturday, behind the FAST winged 410's. The Saturday main event will be 30 laps.

As always, there are no fees to race with BOSS. There is no tire rule and no weight rule. Raceceivers are mandatory and we will be using the Westhold yellow transponders. No mufflers are required at Mansfield Motor Speedway. The main event "work area" will be in the infield along the old pit lane on the front stretch. Three pit crewman per team will be allowed in the infield work area.

Friday pit passes are $30 and Saturday pit passes are $40. For fans, general admission gates will open at 5 pm each day. Friday general admission is $19 with children 10 and under free. Reserved seating is $29. On Saturday, general admission is $29 with children 10 and under $10. Saturday reserved seating is $39.
