Lincoln Speedway would like to welcome everyone to their opening night this Friday April 5th. Bring your family and friends for a good night of racing.

I planned on going to the Sprint Invader race in Iowa but Lincoln is way closer and I have to work Saturday morning, so I'll probably go to this instead. I don't think I've seen non-wing sprints at Lincoln but it should be a good track for them.

Winged or nonwinged, anytime sprints race at Lincoln it's a great show. Should be a good crowd there that night both in the stands and in the pits.

The schedule page says they are running 4 support classes.
Just wondering exactly what Pro-Late Models are? Are they the unlimited late models like the top division at Fairbury? And, are the "compacts" basically hornets?

Thanks kcarm92. Kind of a dumb question from someone who lives deep in dirt late model territory.
We live a half an hour from La Salle Speedway, 45 minutes from Fairbury American Legion Speedway and an hour from Kankakee Speedway and haven't been to a late model race in over 10 years. That said, we'll be at Lincoln Friday night despite the 4 support classes. Just hope it's warmer than it's gonna' be tonight!
