Little 500 -- time to change format ? Proposed format: 1. Fifteen minute break at 100 laps, at 250 laps and at 400 laps. Last 25 count only green flag laps. Why? 1. Make race more fair by eliminating on the go pit stops. 2. Get more cars by eliminating the expense of refueling rigs and the perceived if not actual unfairness of on the go pit stops. 3. Enhance safety with race halted pit stops. 4. Make the race more interesting by on track racing for position rather than cars losing laps in the pits. Perhaps the traditional format for this race can be improved upon?
