Every situation is different. I personally feel that if a race is scheduled and there is no curfew.... Get it in. People know the deal when they buy a ticket.
If they call the race because it "may" rain.... Then people complain. If they cancel the event because of weather after everyone has paid....people throw a fit.
The best course of action to me in that situation would be to complete the show and protect my wallet instead. At least that will allow me to have more shows. I'm sure the financial losses on rain outs are greater than most of us realize. If the teams left at 430 that means the owners left at 6 to seven. They are as affected as the teams and fans.
