He also owns a company which specializes in the rebulding/remanufacture of the very, very expensive Rolls-Royce Merlin engines that power so many restored P-51s. Not what you would call "jacking around at an air show".
Plus he and Carroll Shelby were there to attend the auction for charity that evening of a special Mustang that they had built.
