Daytona as the final “regular season” race will definitely create some excitement, but I’m also afraid it will create a pile of destroyed race cars.

The pocono double header is a cool idea. Like Daytona though, I’m sure that’ll be much more beneficial for the fans than the teams.

The final race confuses me. I can’t recall Phoenix ever being a source for exciting racing, at least in NASCAR. Homestead is great, one of the few tracks where drivers can throw legitimate slide jobs lol.

I give NASCAR credit for trying. I feel bad for them in the sense that some people have already made up their mind that they’re going to dislike whatever NASCAR does. I like some of their moves, dislike others. I dislike the current format. I know it’s unlikely, but any format that makes it possible to win the first 35 races and lose the championship is a bit silly in my opinion. I like their stage racing. Even if you don’t, it’s tough to say it’s a bad move. Most people note that young generations are plagued with short attention spans, so I’m sure younger fans are more likely to watch if they see lap 25 of 100 as opposed to 25 of 300. Plus, the stages create more exciting racing.

Wishing the best for the sport. Kind of disappointing seeing some people almost find joy in their troubles in recent years. I’m excited to see Bell get to Cup and start winning.
I go along with much the way you are looking at things.

Wonder if this could this be where Bell ends up???

There are only 5 Toyotas running now (4 at Gibbs & this team). Not a lot of places! Personally, I sure do not think it is right Ford & Chevy have to fill-in the rest of the field (it would take a 4th manufactor to get everyone down to Toyota's #s - BUT, good or bad, depends on how u look at it, Toyota "supports"/is involved with MANY different tiers of racing - including short tracks; seems like more than Ford & Chevy do...as far as - what it appears - direct factory support - like their name all over the cars & all that even...lol)

So, as of right now, it would be this team - for Bell, or they'd have to shuffle like Erik Jones again or smthn. I think Denny Hamlin's Daytona 500 win secured him a spot for another year or two...but I really think Bell could DELIVER more in that car (with Fedex sponsorship) than Denny has..
