My first trip to Silver Spring was a night that rained out at another track, was just looking for somewhere to go to the races while on vacation and I didn't expect much. The racing, the amount of cars, etc. was great. I got to speak with Smokey Snellbaker and he was one of the nicest racers I have ever met. Another thing, the super sportsman have starters and I just about pooped my pants walking beside a car in the pits as it fired up (that was a REAL surprise).
