We were in the area of the dome early on Friday afternoon of Labor Day weekend this past summer and the best parking deal we could find in that area was $25 and we looked everywhere. Been to several Cardinal's games over the past 3 seasons and have parked all over the area and everything has been $25 minimum. This is a downtown urban area and the prices of everything are reflective of where you are.
I live in the St. Louis metro and I too go to Cards games and other events downtown quite regularly...I guess you just have to know where to look. Not all parking spots are in lots. Off the top of my head there is a small parking lot behind Charlie Gitto's in downtown that was $10 during baseball season, if street parking isn't your thing. That would be about a 4 block walk to the Dome. For Blues games I park for free by Union Station. For Cards games I usually park for free over by Broadway Oyster Bar.
