Darren's finishes at Lawrenceburg and Perris were results of some unfortunate incidents.
Someone ran over his right rear during the Lawrenceburg feature, so he had to get it changed and start from the tail...then he had some problems with the engine not running right, so he had to drop out early.
At Perris Speedway, he bent a radius rod, but they changed it during a caution and went to restart, but the flagman threw the Green flag when he was still about a straight-a-way from the tail of the field, so he came to a stop and they Black Flagged him.
