That would be another good guess. Since they have already stated that Gold Crown will be a POWRi show, maybe they are waiting until the POWRi schedule is announced to announce it is a co-sanctioned race.
However, the last time POWRi and USAC tried to co-sanction a race, it was a big failure with POWRi dropping out/kicked out and then promoting a race on the same night three hours away.
It could also be the last of the ongoing POWRi - USAC pissing match with this race weekend going directly head to head with the Gold Crown.
