It boils down to a total lack of respect for your fellow competitor. You do not put one of your fellows in that type of situation, period. How it became an accepted form of "passing" is beyond Me.
The events of this particular event will come back to bite someone in the butt. There are a few guys who banked these memories and are just waiting to feed someone a wheel.
