Wow, it's almost go time!! An overcast but dry day is set for tomorrow. Track prep is underway to give optimum race conditions tomorrow night to our great racers.
The night is going to be a lot of fun, with the first ever race for the Midwest Street Stock Championship series racing the Railsplitter 40 for $800 to win and $80 to start. It's also the first race of the year for the POWRi Division II Midgets presented by Nutech Seed. Strong fields of Pro Late Models, Modifieds, and Hornets are also expected.
New for this year will be the change to our concession areas. The food was great but the lines were a little slow in the past. This year, we have moved the concession and snack stands out of the trailers and into the big building. There will be more registers and more employees to help move things along more quickly, with the same great food. The delicious fried pork tenderloin is back along with all the weekly favorites. New to the concession stand tomorrow night will be the Steak Sandwich, Victory Lane Potato Chips, and Funnel Fries.
While temps will be a little cool throughout the day, the wind is expected to be calm and temps in the 50s during the whole race program, which isn't all that bad for mid-April.
So grab the family, grab the friends, and grab the neighbors and lets go racing for the first big event of the year at Central Illinois place to race, Lincoln Speedway.
