I think the biggest reason for the age minimum is the tracks and insurance. I know with the series I run, we don't run Gas City because you have to be 16 to race there, and that limits a few of our guys. I don't know about the whole insurance deal, but I would imagine that you would have a lot higher rates the younger you go.
