As we read through this thread, two subject areas arise: 1) The applicability of various engine configurations and specifications within the displacement limit, and 2) the availability and cost of starter and clutch/transmission components that are unique to Silver Crown (as opposed to sprint cars).
An evolution in engine sources within the two-valve/pushrod constraint seems both correct, and inevitable.
Availability of the unique components will present a greater impediment.
