I would disagree with the career maker moniker. In fact I would say the names have made the race. Just to use Bell and Larson for example. They were already on the national scene ascending to the big leagues before they won a Chili Bowl. Their passion for the event and large and expanding presence in USAC and NASCAR brought more attention to the event. That’s just a current example
