I may be way outa time, but I don't think the engine will know the difference, if there is fuel and air in either or both cylinders, it'll go bang, and you will notice that right off! I started to build one using a 600cc Yamaha, but then lost interest when I heard it probably would be deemed illegal , so it sits. I know one thing tho, they sure sound different, used to be a guy show up at Cleves dragstrip, with a V8 chev that fired like that, talk about sweet, and fast, music to my ears! Yamaha builds a street bike with this configuration, no question about it when it fires up.
