It'd be nice if tracks would go to 1 type of transponder. We've been to several tracks that use Westholds, then others use Mylaps, another track uses a different transponder, which is why I will always rent one. I don't think anything is wrong with Transponders, but having to buy several different ones seems a little bad. Now though. A lot of tracks have the transponder systems and some other transponders won't work with other systems. So there's not you can really do about it.

I'm surprised they don't get damaged on the rear of the car. We was always told to put them on the bottom of the RR Torsion Rack. I thought they'd be safer on the Rear down tube, but might be to far off the ground. For the extent of a flip this was, I was very surprised to see the Transponder be A ok. You can see the orange pouch on the torsion rack.
