Jadon Rogers jumped out to a pretty good lead by the the midway point of the race. Once they got into lapped traffic and once Jason McDougal had worked his way through the rest of the top ten, you just know what this race was going to come down to. Would Rogers be able to get through the traffic well enough to hold off the late race charge of the guy in the 17GP car? And late in the race, when Jadon got into some heavy congestion, Jason caught him the first time. But then Jadon made a move in turns three and four, that may have swung the momentum back just enough to allow him to escape with the win. He and Jason ran up on a group of lappers and Jadon threw a well executed slider on about three cars and that gave him enough breathing room to ease the immediate pressure that he had been under. And that would come in handy, because on the white flag lap Jason went for broke, got in and out of three and four almost perfectly, dove for the finish line and the nose of his car was about even with where Jadon sat in the cockpit. It was a great finish! Rogers won, but he damn near didn't! And he made some crucial racing moves while he was under serious pressure, to avoid defeat. So he definitely had to earn it. And you've got to think you're going to see more of McDougal in Michael Dutcher's car in the last half of the season. That car looked as good as it has this year.
